In 1995, the Dutch-based Kardan Investment Group joined forces with Josef Kanetti, to create Mekdan Management & Maintenance.

Four years later, Housing & Construction Holding Co Ltd, a member of the Arison Group, joined Mekdan.

Mekdan expanded its activities overseas in 2005, and since then has been running many successful projects – from managing commercial and office buildings in Romania to providing counselling services in Hungary.

In 2008, the company further expanded its projects abroad by providing expert counselling services and managed assets throughout Eastern Europe, including Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Croatia, as well as Germany and Israel.
